Pasighat, the headquarters of the East Siang District is situated on the banks of River Siang. The place worth a visit here are the Lali Wildlife Sanctuary where one can find in plenty of the wild buffaloes, tiger, sambar and deer. One can also take a glimpse of the famous Ponnung Dance of the Adis, and see the emporium and villages. Languages spoken here are Adi(Gallong), Hindi, Assamese and English. Pasighat is ideal for river rafting, boating and angling on river Siang, and trekking and hiking.
